Adriana De Moura Talks About Her Wedding, Fashion and New Film

Adriana De Moura, Brazilian bombshell and cast of “Real Housewives of Miami," has many projects in the works.

From the small to the big screen, and now onto the radio with her new single and RHOM opening song “Feel The Rush”, she has become a fashion icon and established herself beyond a reality star. Latin Beat had the chance to talk to her about her role on the psychological thriller "Apollyon," the experience of filming her wedding for the show, how she mixes expensive and frugal pieces onto her wardrobe, and her must-haves for the Fall season.

·         You have a new film coming out, talk to us about the concept behind the movie:

Apollyon is an independent movie that I did.  I play a psychiatrist and it is based on a true story. It’s a very interesting movie, now in the process of been edited, so we should be seeing it hopefully within the next 6 months. I’m looking forward to be able to show it because the statistics of serial killers growing up in the United States are kinda scary. But the movie raises awareness on been careful and watching out for ourselves.

·         What about your character, what can you tell us about playing that role?

I play Dr. Selena Harris, a psychiatrist who treats the serial killer. It was interesting doing research for this role and that’s when I found out how much this problem has been rising.  There are very scary facts. I wasn't sleeping when I was doing a lot of the research and I was really going out to finding out more about different cases. At night, I was all neurotic checking on my windows and I would walk at night and check everything around me. It was very scary to find out more about these cases.

·         For the new season of “Real Housewives of Miami” you filmed your wedding, how was that process?

This season of the Real Housewives people are going to see my wedding. My beautiful, Great Gatsby wedding. I’m looking forward for people to see all that I went through. I was a little bit of a bridezilla, but it was because I was under a lot of stress. At the end, I think it worked beautifully, and I had a great themed wedding. So that’s Monday nights on Bravo TV at 10 p.m., so don’t miss it!

·         You are a true fashion lover, always changing from classic to edgy, what are some of your favorite trends and designers from Fashion Week?:

I always like to honor my heritage, hence the Brazilian designers that I truly appreciate. I like mixing things, I don’t like to do everything brand. I don’t believe fashion has to be expensive, I think fashion can be affordable, so I always like to throw in the mix a piece from Topshop or H&M with a more expensive piece. But, like you said, I just like to do a little bit of everything, just throw things out there and make it work.  I think that’s what truly shows your style, when you can put different things together and make it work.

·         What are your 3 must-have pieces for the Fall season?

Right now for Fall I’m totally digging the pastels. I’m loving the pink for Fall because it is so unexpected, you can mix it with black or grey and it looks great.  It’s a trend that’s going to continue past the Fall. I also like the tight high boots. Boots for fall are an obvious choice and tight high boots are not a new trend. If you mix it with something that’s a bit longer, then it is great so it doesn't look sleazy. You can never go wrong with the graphic black and white, half of my closet its black and white anyways, so I’m right on trend there!
