Reality TV dad Jon Gosselin, whose sole means of income appears to be a show centered on his eight kids, says it is the media that is exploiting the children.
The "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star -- who posed poolside in Vegas for photos with bikini-clad women over the weekend -- said the media is exploiting his children for their own financial benefit, according to E! News.
"I'm not saying TLC is exploiting my children," he told E! News. "But I do believe the media and tabloids covering my family and the show for their own financial gain are the ones exploiting them."
A source told E! News that Jon sat down with ABC's "Good Morning America" to tape an interview late last week and said he was "very open and honest" about how he felt about Kate.
"Jon says he doesn't see himself as a celebrity, but because the public does, it will make it hard for him to go back to a normal life and a normal job," the insider told E! News. "He wants to stay in the TV industry and has a lot of ideas."
The octodad hosted a party at MGM Grand's Wet Republic pool on Saturday in Sin City where he lounged in a private cabana, sipped on Champagne and got several phone numbers from scantily clad guests, according to reports.
The soon-to-be-divorced dad said his life was a "nightmare" and that he wished he could just go back to being an Average Joe.

Speaking on CNN's "Larry King" last week, ex-wife Kate said she felt lonely but shied away from ripping her bachelorhood-embracing former hubby, saying her first priority is her children.
"My main concern is my kids," she said. "I don't want them to see or hear anything on TV that I didn't discuss with them. We discussed what they need to know at their developmental age group."
