Lorena Inclán is an NBC6 News Reporter. She joined the NBC6 News team in February of 2023. Most recently, Inclán was the Director of Public Affairs for St. Johns County where she led the communications and public relations strategy for one of Florida’s fastest growing counties.
Prior to joining St. Johns County Government, Inclán spent more than eight years at CBS47 & FOX30 Action News Jax where she was weekend morning anchor and reporter. She also launched a cold case podcast and covered unsolved cases extensively during her time in Northeast Florida. Inclán currently serves on the board for the non-profit, Project: Cold Case, which focuses on bringing awareness to cases that have gone cold and advocates for families that await justice.
Inclán started her on-air career in Texas at KFDA NewsChannel10 & Telemundo Amarillo. She later returned to Florida as a multi-media journalist for Univision Orlando.
Over the years, Inclán has had the opportunity to cover high profile stories such as the sinking of the S.S. El Faro, the shooting deaths of Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis, the disappearance of Michelle Parker and the hazing death of FAMU drum major Robert Champion. She also traveled to Panama where she obtained an exclusive interview with the canal administrator at the time, to research the link between the canal’s expansion and efforts to deepen the St. Johns River.
Originally from Miami, Inclán is the proud daughter of Cuban immigrants. She started her TV career as an intern at Telemundo 51 while studying broadcast journalism at the University of Miami. Upon graduation, she was hired at NBC6 as a camera operator and stage manager.
In 2021, the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists named Inclán the best reporter in a medium market for her work during the year 2020.
Inclán is thrilled to be back in South Florida to tell the stories of the community she grew up in and where her family still lives. If you have any recommendations you can email her at Lorena.Inclan@nbcuni.com.
