Christian Colón is an NBC6 News reporter. He joined the NBC6 News team in February of 2023. Most recently, Colón worked at WFSB-CBS Channel 3 in Hartford, Connecticut as a multimedia journalist.
Prior to Hartford, Colón reported in Spanish and English for KRGV-ABC Channel 5 News and AZTECA in Mcallen, Texas where he covered the Southern U.S. Mexico border from both sides of the border.
Colón is passionate about giving a voice to the voiceless. He believes that in this time of misinformation, it is important for bilingual journalists to get the truth out to underserved communities.
Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Colón is proud of his Puerto Rican heritage. As a child, he even lived on the island for a few years. Colón received his Bachelor of Science degree from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut and a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University.
