12/2: We Just Wanna Dance, Thursday

Merce Cunninham at the Arsht, Three Stooges at Cafeina and live music at The Stage

HAVE MERCE: Even the Arsht Center is feeling the Art Basel spirit, and not in an awkward, confusing performance art kind of way. The Merce Cunninham Dance Company comes to town to perform a special show that incorporates an installation by Daniel Arsham, which will allow for dancers to be on three different levels and audience members to move about the stage. Through Dec 4, 7 and 9:30 P.M.

LARRY, MOE AND PATRICK: We're not expecting any slapstick antics (though who knows after a few g&t's), but we are expecting a stellar array of cultural goodness at "Three Stooges We Love," which will feature Patrick McMullan's photography, a book signing by Miami boy Brian Antoni and sculpture by Robert Chambers. RSVP required, cafeina@taraink.com. Cafeina, 11 P.M.

STAGE ANTICS: All this art is fine and good, but really we just want to dance. Booty shaking will commence at The Stage (170 NE 38th St, Midtown), where Big Poppa E, Brendan O'Hara and the Big Bounce Collective, King Bee & Ma'Duro will all perform. 7 P.M.
