1/20: Like Funny Ha-Ha

One pair of free tix, two SoBe Comedy Fest events and a party for 140 characters

MEOW MIX: The South Beach Comedy Festival starts today, and before the "big timers" take the stage, it's all about local laughs with Mad Cat Theater Company's performance of funny bone-tickling "Shepard's Pie" at the Colony Theater on Lincoln Road. 7:30 P.M.

But don't stop with tomorrow night's show - we've got a pair of tickets to Gabriel Iglesias, who takes the stage Thursday night. All you have to do is be the first person to email webteam@www.nbcmiami.com and they're yours.

NUTTY BUDDIES: If it's your bank account that's a joke, head to Lucky Strike for a free performance by local yuckers A Pair of Nuts. Think sketch comedy a-la Abbott and Costello - with a Miami twist, of course. 8 P.M.

TWEET AND GREET: You like to think of yourself as both social media and sushi savvy, which is why you follow @SushiSamba and why you have been hot as wasabi for tonight's SushiSamba Tweetup. Meet fellow Tweeters in a completely non-nerdy setting and munch on $10-or-less menu items such as the twitteROLL, crispy yellowtail taquitos and Peruvian scallops. We don't think we can contain our excitement to 140 characters. 8-10 P.M.
