China’s Sichuan province has said farewell to an abandoned van dubbed "Zombie Car" just in time for Halloween.
Completely engulfed in ivy, the vehicle was towed away on Friday—foliage and all—after police had trouble removing the thick, prickly vines, NBC News reported.
The car has attracted loads of attention since it was abandoned sometime last year. Photos showing its shrubbery have gone viral.
Officials reportedly traced the license plate number back to original owner Wang Ping, who told police that he sold the vehicle three years ago but couldn’t remember the buyer.
Abandoned cars are colloquially known as “jiangshiche” or “zombie cars” in China.
