Authorities are searching for a woman who robbed a South Florida bank while pretending to chat on her cell phone.
The robbery happened Wednesday at a TD Bank at Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.
The woman, who was wearing a hat over a brown wig and had a cell phone up against her ear, passed a note to the teller demanding money and then fled on foot, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities describe her as in her early 20s, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6, with a skinny build. Anyone with information is asked to call Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
