Police are investigating the death of a utility worker who fell from a parking garage in Fort Lauderdale early Sunday.
Scott Christopher Reid Jr., 26, was standing near his work truck around 5:25 a.m. Sunday when he fell from the 5th floor of the garage at the Westin Hotel at 321 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale Police officials said.
Reid, who was from Hardee County, was a lineman who was working to restore power in South Florida after Hurricane Irma. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
Detectives are actively investigating his death, officials said.
