Two people are dead after a single engine airplane crashed in the Atlantic Ocean, according WPTV, an NBC-affiliate in West Palm Beach.
The crash happened about 20 nautical miles east of Port St. Lucie on Saturday.
Miami Air Traffic Control notified the Coast Guard of a suspected downed aircraft at about 11:45 a.m.
Coast Guard crews found debris about 20 miles east of the St. Lucie inlet.
The two people inside the plane were found dead.
