Tiger Woods' ex-wife Elin Nordegren has demolished a multi-million dollar home in an exclusive Palm Beach County gated community to make way for a new mansion, The Palm Beach Post reported.
According to the newspaper, the $12.3 million home was bought a year ago, and the county issued the demolition permit on Dec. 16 for the 17,000 square foot two-story house, which featured eight bathrooms, a pool and an elevator. A photo on the newspaper's website showed the house has already been demolished. The permit was active until June 17.
The home is located on a lot in the Seminole Landing development.
John True, who owns Oceanfront Realty in Juno Beach, told the newspaper he was at the home for a charity event on Halloween, when work had already started. He said the oceanfront property was beautiful and had great landscaping.
"I heard that the original plan was to renovate. But once thy started, I heard they decided to tear it down," True was quoted by the newspaper as saying.
The Post reported that the community boasts the private Seminole Golf Course, which was built in 1929 and was last year named 13th best golf course in the county by Golf Digest.
The contractor for the home refused to comment to the newspaper.
