Testimony is underway in the trial of the South Florida man who killed his ex-wife's new husband in 2008.
Prosecutors say Cristobal Palacio - on trial for first degree murder - gunned down Paul Winter, shooting him six times in a jealous rage.
The shooting happened in front of Winter's then 7-year-old twins and their mother.
The South Miami-Dade judge refused to dismiss the case under the Stand Your Ground law in a hearing last week, when Palacio argued he acted in self-defense.
Opening statements were delayed Monday after two jurors asked to be excused.
