If you didn't notice the candles on the cake, you'd think Mazie Ford was elderly, but not 110 years old.
"I was born in Philadelphia," Ford told NBC 6. "1906."
Ford, who now calls South Florida home, is older than sliced bread, which was invented in 1928. She's still spry and she's still sharp.
"Five, four people here, three out of four always ask me 'what's your secret?' and you know what I tell them? If I knew I'd be a millionaire, I'd write a book and tell them my secret, sell the book, I don't know," she said.
Ford got married at age 16, she's had two husbands, two children, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. That's a lot of great in one person.
"I had a wonderful life, we had our little ups and downs, I had two wonderful children, thank God they never gave me trouble, police never came to my door," she said.
She took up a new hubby 10 years ago, when she was a youthful 100, knitting bags and infant caps to give away at Memorial Hospital.

As we celebrate her birthday, what's really remarkable is when you think about all the advancements human kind has made in her lifetime. Radio, television, antibiotics, computers, aviation, space exploration, the entire automobile industry.
Ford says she stopped driving at about age 102 or 105, and said her husband used to drive a Model-T.
But when asked what's the most incredible thing she's ever seen in her lifetime, she says it's her own kids.
