Shake Shack Set to Open 1st Broward County Location

Broward Shackburger fans soon won't have to go far to fill their sandwich and french fry needs.

Shake Shack is set to open its first location in the county in Fort Lauderdale, according to SouthFlorida.com.

The new eatery will be at 2400 N. Federal Highway, and will likely open by November, the site reported.

It'll be the Shack's first foray into Broward, and will join other South Florida locations in Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Aventura and Boca Raton. Another location is expected to open in Brickell.

Shake Shack opened its first location in Manhattan's Madison Square in 2004 and has grown to be a fairly major burger chain, with dozens of locations throughout the country. There are also several locations in Europe and Asia.
