Authorities are investigating after a fire broke out at a Miramar apartment building for the second time in less than a week.
The latest fire at the 4-unit complex on Venetian Street just west of De Soto Drive on the border of Miramar and Pembroke Pines happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Fire officials said units from Miramar and Pembroke Pines responded to the scene and found smoke and flames shooting through the roof.

The blaze tore through two of the units before firefighters were able to get it under control. Both units suffered heavy damage, officials said.
Neighbors who live next to the building were forced to evacuate.
"I was scared, I didn't know what was going on," said neighbor Franklin Sands. "When I looked outside I saw all the fire trucks and police."

None of the 10 people who live there were home at the time, after residents were forced to move out on Friday after a fire had broken out in the complex's meter room.
“It’s extremely badly damaged. We’re concerned that this structure may never be habitable again," Miramar Fire Rescue Division Chief Bill Huff said.
The power to the building had been turned off after Friday's fire and one of the building's co-owners said electrical work was supposed to begin Tuesday.
The cause of the latest fire is under investigation.
