A popular rapper is offering a hefty reward after more than $400,000 in property was stolen from a safe inside his Miami Beach home.
Prince Malik, whose real name is Shahzad Nawaz, had his apartment at 23rd Street and Collins Avenue broken into over the weekend, according to his spokesperson.
The thief or thieves managed to steal the safe and all of the contents, more than $400,000 worth of property.
According to a Miami Beach Police report of the May 9 burglary, about $458,000 in jewelry and $20,000 in cash was stolen.
A handgun that was also in the safe was stolen, the report said.
The rapper said he left his apartment Friday night and didn't discover it was missing until Saturday morning.
"I think this was done very professionally, somebody knew what they were doing," Malik said. "You don't walk into somebody's house like that unless you have some sort of homework."

Malik is offering a $50,000 reward for the arrest of the individuals involved and the return of his property, or a $25,000 "no questions asked" reward for information that leads to the arrests.
Private investigator David Bolton is working on the case.
"It is unclear at this point if this theft is related to a string of thefts spanning Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, however the similarities are interesting," Bolton said in a statement. "So far, millions of dollars in valuables and prized possessions have been stolen from families across the region, and the culprits show no signs of slowing down."
