A precautionary swimming advisory was in effect for some Miami-Dade beaches after wastewater was released into surrounding surface waters, officials said Tuesday.
The swimming advisory was in effect for the beach areas at Hobie/Windsurfer, Marine Stadium, MAST Academy and Jungle Island, Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department officials said.
The wastewater overflow came from a pipe adjacent to the AmericanAirlines Arena, officials said.
Signs have been posted in the affected areas and the advisory remains in effect until tests from the Department of Health are clear, officials said.
