Residents in a limited area of Hialeah will be under a precautionary boil water advisory as the city works to repair a water distribution system valve.
Those living in the area located between West First Avenue and East Sixth Avenue, between East Ninth Street and Southeast Second Street and Okeechobee Road are impacted by the advisory.
Officials say that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes should be boiled.
The city anticipates that the repair will be completed by Thursday. The advisory will remain in effect until tests come back and show that the water is safe to drink.
