Thousands of South Miami residents are dealing with power outages after an electrical pole caught fire Thursday morning.
FPL reports that the blaze started shortly after 7:30AM off SW 87th Avenue and Sunset Drive. Emergency crews put out the fire and power crews came to the scene to restore power.
Nearly 1,900 customers in the area are without power.
