North Miami Beach Police are investigating a possible case of attempted murder-suicide.
The incident started around 6:30 p.m. Friday near 19th Avenue and Northeast 180th Street after police said a woman was shot in the face.

A standoff then took place inside the home with a male subject.
SWAT eventually made entry with a video-equipped robot and discovered a man dead inside.

Police said the woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The situation ended around 10:30 p.m. and the area reopened to traffic shortly after.
