Suspect Arrested in Sunrise Attempted Kidnapping: Police

Sunrise Police have arrested a man in a Wednesday morning attempted kidnapping that may be connected to another attempted kidnapping in the city last week.

Jesus Condom, 26, was arrested following a traffic stop after a 12-year-old reported the attempted kidnapping Wednesday morning, Sunrise Police officials said.

According to police, the child told investigators a man tried to lure her into his car near Nob Hill Road and 44th Street. The girl said she told the man she was in middle school, and said he became enraged and drove off after she ran away, police said.

Police said the person of interest and vehicle description match a Nov. 7 incident in which a man tried to abduct three young girls as they walked to Village Elementary School near the 6600 block of Northwest 21st Court. The man asked the three girls if they needed a ride and asked them to get into his car, but he left when the girls refused.

Condom is facing multiple charges including attempted kidnapping of a minor and attempting to interfere with the custody of a minor. Attorney information wasn't available.
