One person was killed and four other people were injured after an SUV hit a tree in North Miami early Tuesday morning.
The single vehicle crash happened near Northeast 125th Street and 1st Court shortly before 5:30 a.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said.
A total of five people were in the car, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Felipe Lay. One person died at the scene while two people were transported to an area hospital as trauma alerts.
Two other passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
