A Miami beach police officer accused of using excessive force against a woman, has been suspended.
Two years ago shows Detective Philippe Archer was accused of punching and kicking a handcuffed woman after she kicked him.
It happened in the parking garage at police headquarters, where the woman was taken after Archer arrested her for a disturbance at a condo.
The police department on Monday suspended Archer 160 hours for several violations, including excessive force and mistreatment of a prisoner.
Archer was also accused of punching a man who tried to intervene during the woman's arrest because he thought Archer was mugging her.
Archer has not been charged for that confrontation.
The Miami Beach police chief released a statement, saying the department is moving on from the incident.
