Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the middle of a Fort Lauderdale street early Wednesday morning.
Fort Lauderdale Police officials said a passerby found the body shortly before 12:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Northeast 3rd Avenue.
When officers arrived they found the man dead in the roadway. He was later identified as 27-year-old Patrice E. Mardy, of Fort Lauderdale.
Detectives aren't releasing the cause of death and there was no information about any possible suspects, officials said.
