Miami-Dade Police are investigating after a man's body was recovered from a canal in Doral on New Year's Day.
Two men were reportedly celebrating New Year's Eve at La Covacha located at 10730 Northwest 25th Street near 107th Avenue.
Police believe the men left the club and wandered to a nearby canal when one of them fell in the water.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Miami-Dade Police, Doral Police and Sweetwater Police were all on the scene early Friday to assist with the search.
Police said it appears the man hit his head during the fall into the canal. Detectives discovered an extensive facial injury as a result of the fall and possibly knocked the man unconscious. His name has not been released
