A man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly swung a hammer at his girlfriend, striking her hand and causing her to bleed, police said.
Willie Armstrong, 49, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He is being held on $1,500 bond.
According to the Sun Sentinel, Armstrong’s girlfriend wanted him to accompany her to the polls for the primary election. When Armstrong refused, the pair began arguing in the woman’s Lake Worth home, the newspaper said.
