A man was arrested for his alleged involvement in the robbery of an armored car, the FBI said Friday.
Christopher Ferguson, 40, and another man are believed to have approached an armored truck courier demanding money, the FBI said.

The incident occurred on Jan. 17 in Sunrise.
Shots were fired and it is believed that one of the robbers may have been wounded. They were able to take an undisclosed amount of money, the FBI said.

The arrest was made in Plantation Friday by the FBI, Broward Sheriff’s Office, Sunrise Police Department, Plantation Police Department and the South Florida Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
Ferguson is in federal custody and is expected to face federal charges. It was not immediately known whether he has an attorney.
