A South Florida man was arrested after he was accused of an attempted kidnapping of a young girl at a Miami-Dade Jewish Center.
Dean Beck, 39, a registered sex offender was arrested after the incident at the Dave and Mary Alper Jewish Community Center at 11155 Southwest 112th Avenue, Miami-Dade Police said Tuesday.
Beck was arrested and released on $7,500 bond on Friday, officials said. It's unknown whether he has an attorney.
According to police, the victim was attending summer camp at the center when she was approached by Beck, who grabbed her shirt and tried to drag her into a men's restroom.
The girl was able to scream for help and get away.
Beck, from Palmetto Bay, is a registered sex offender dating back to 2002, Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show.
