One person was injured when a helicopter crashed into the roof of a home in Southwest Florida Monday afternoon.
First responders rushed to the home in Odessa to pull the pilot from the wreck, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
The pilot was the only person on board. Officials said he called in the crash. The pilot was rushed to the hospital.
No one, only a dog, was inside the house at the time of the crash. The pooch was not injured.
Officials were investigating what caused the helicopter to crash.
