The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is asking for the public's help to nab two armed robbers who targeted a South Florida post office.
Officials released new surveillance footage Wednesday of the robbery at the Goulds Branch at 22350 Old Dixie Highway this past Saturday.
The two men came in to the office with their guns drawn and demanded cash. The one in the front was wearing a heavy jacket trying to hide his identity as best as possible.
He jumps through a window that’s used for customers to send boxes through in an attempt to get back and get cash. But in the video before he does he pulls out a pistol, loads the chamber and that's when one of the employees inside saves the day.
The employee pulls down the second glass window in the back and there’s nothing the suspect can do, so they both take off empty handed.
"It's a very heavy glass, cause that also is bulletproof, so he was able to pull it down and prevent him from getting back there, not just stealing whatever he wanted to steal but God forbid potentially harming one of our employees," U.S. Postal Inspector Blad Roj said.
The suspects are described as black males, 25-28 years old, one 6-foot and 250 pounds and the other 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds.
