Broward sheriff’s detectives say they are searching for a woman wanted in connection with the killing of a man whose body was found inside a Pompano Beach apartment last month.

Thursday, a grand jury issued the indictment against Danielle Sachs, 33, on one count of first-degree murder in the death of Jeffrey Blaugrund, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The same day, the grand jury also indicted Sachs’ boyfriend, Jonathan Forster, 27, but he has since been arrested on a first-degree murder charge.

Jeffrey Blaugrund, 70, was killed in mid-October. In the early morning hours of Oct. 15, Blaugrund picked up Sachs and Forster from a Wendy’s restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and offered them a place to stay for the night, the agency said.

No one saw Blaugrund until Nov. 1, when deputies were called to Blaugrund’s home by neighbors complaining of an odor emanating from his apartment, the agency said.

Deputies found Blaugrund’s body inside, and determined the apartment had been ransacked, the agency said. Investigators said they suspect a robbery led to Blaugrund’s killing.

The Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Blaugrund died of asphyxia and ruled his death a homicide.

Anyone with information about Danielle Sach’s whereabouts or Jeffrey Blaugrund’s homicide is asked to call 911.
