An unlicensed Hollywood dentist was arrested Wednesday after he caused injuries to one of his patients, police said.
Jorge Luis Romero-Paredes, was charged with practicing dentistry without a license and bonded out of Broward County Jail, according to the Hallandale Beach Police Department.
No one at his home wanted to talk to NBC 6 Thursday and it wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
Authorities began an investigation after the fake doctor’s medical procedures caused a victim to lose a tooth and get an oral infection, police said.
The victim said she received six visits from the dentist and was charged $1,000, officials said.
Paredes is a dentist in his native Peru, police said.
