Daytona Beach Animal Control officers are investigating a Facebook photo that shows a dog with its muzzle taped shut, police said.
Officers are working to identify the person responsible and determine if any charges will be filed, Daytona Beach Police said in a statement.
They added no police report was initiated.
The Facebook user listed his home as Daytona Beach and wrote: "All you know is that this is a picture of my dog with tape on his mouth chillin Now start judging your reasons," according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
The post is no longer available on the user's page. Police said they began an investigation after receiving an email on Friday, the News-Journal reported.
