Detectives arrested a man who was caught on camera forcing an elderly woman to the ground and stealing her chain outside a Pompano Beach fast food restaurant.
Malcolm Turner, 24, was arrested by Broward Sheriff's Office detectives Friday on charges of strong arm robbery and elderly abuse.
Turner has been identified as the person who robbed an elderly woman at a Wendy’s off Atlantic Boulevard in late July, authorities said.
According to authorities, on the afternoon of July 24th, Turner noticed 72-year-old Margaret Ghee walking into a Wendy's restaurant.
Turner was captured by security cameras as he entered the restaurant and then again as he waited outside for Ghee to reemerge.
When the Ghee walked out of the restaurant, Turner called out to get her attention, officials say. He then violently pushed Ghee to the ground and ripped a gold chain from around her neck.
