The Coast Guard is searching for a possible person in the water off Hallandale Beach.
Coast Guard crews began searching Monday after a lifeguard reported seeing a man with no life jacket go out to sea aboard an inflatable raft and later saw the raft with no one aboard, officials said.
Hallandale Ocean Rescue assisted in the search, which went to about two miles from shore. A Coast Guard helicopter and Broward Sheriff's Office helicopter also assisted in the search.
