A dog went missing Tuesday after a carjacking at a gas station in Fort Lauderdale. The two suspects, including a juvenile, were arrested hours after the incident. The stolen vehicle was located, but the dog remained missing.
Surveillance video from Sunshine Gas located on Davie Boulevard captured the crime that happened around 9:30 a.m.
Sitting inside the Toyota Corolla was 15-year-old Jack Russell Terrier Casey.
Footage showed the suspect getting out of a car from the passenger side before sneaking into Kristen Husk's car, which was parked at the pump. Husk was inside the business at the time.
The crook drove off as she walked out and noticed her car was being stolen.
"She means everything to me," said Husk.
Officers say the victim left her car running at the time of the crime.
Hours later, Husk received a call from detectives.
Her car was found near Sunrise Boulevard and 27th avenue, but Casey was no where in sight. "I can think of a million different scenarios that my dog could possibly be going through and that's just kind of what gets me."
Husk says the thief removed her license plate, stole her cell phone and documents from the glove compartment.

But what's most important is for Casey to make it home safely.
"She looks more like a rat terrier. She has really big ears. A long tail, mickey mouse print on her back of black and white," said Husk.
Detectives say the suspects told them they released Casey in the area the car was located.
