An early morning car fire snarled traffic on northbound US-1 for much of the early morning hours Friday.
The incident occurred on northbound US-1 at Southwest 17th Avenue in Miami around 5 a.m. Aerial footage showed Miami Police on the scene blocking off a portion of the street as the charred remains of the car were placed on a flatbed truck.
The roads have since been reopened.
It appears that the car slammed into a tree in the median. One person was taken to the hospital. Their condition is not immediately known.
