A woman who sent a man to the hospital when she drove through the entrance of a northwest Miami-Dade laundromat after an argument made her first appearance in court Tuesday.
Tiffany Taylor, 25, is charged with aggravated battery and leaving the scene of a crash causing serious bodily injury in the Monday morning incident, Miami-Dade Jail records showed.
Miami-Dade Police said the incident began as an argument between Taylor and the son of an employee of the business, Wash World.
The woman tried to spray the employee and her son with an unknown liquid before she got into her car, hit the man and drove into the 24-hour laundromat around 2:30 a.m., police said. The victim, Adolphis Melvin, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Melvin was released from the hospital Monday night with a broken leg and stitches to some wounds.
Taylor’s bond was set at $20,000 and her next court date is scheduled for just before Thanksgiving.
