Three men are facing charges following an armed home invasion in Hialeah Monday, according to police.
The incident was reported in the area of 52nd Street and East 5th Avenue, where Hialeah Police said two suspects forced their way into a 76-year-old man's home and pistol-whipped him while demanding money.
The victim's 20-year-old granddaughter was also confronted by the suspects, but wasn't hurt. Police said the suspects were able to take some cash and jewelry from the home before fleeing.
Police and paramedics rushed to the home around 3:30 p.m. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
A witness said he saw men in masks running from the scene and called 911.
Two of the suspects were taken into custody just a few blocks away. They have been identified by Hialeah Police as Alexander Vega and Julian De Leon, both 21.
Police said the suspects' firearms were recovered.
On Tuesday, the alleged getaway driver during the crime, 23-year-old Kevin Millares, was also taken into custody.
It's unknown whether the suspects have hired attorneys.
