Three dogs were rescued from a house fire in Palmetto Bay on Thursday morning, but a pet bird unfortunately didn't have the same fate.
The quaker parrot was reported dead by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, who responded to the scene on Southwest 151 Street at 9:36 a.m. No one was injured as a result of the fire and it is currently unknown if anyone was inside the home at the time the fire began.
It appears the flames started in the home's garage. The cause is currently being investigated.
