A 19-year-old man was shot and killed overnight in Miami Gardens, police said.
Raymond Mills was found lying in the driveway of his home after being shot, according to Miami Gardens Police, who responded to the scene at 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
Fire rescue pronounced him dead at the scene, at the corner of Northwest 202nd Street and 32nd Avenue, according to authorities.
Several family members were at the scene and mourned Mills' death.
"A mother is not supposed to bury the child. A child is supposed to bury the mother and now I gotta bury my grandson. It just don’t make sense," said his grandmother Dianne Cope.
Authorities took the victim's body from the scene at about 4:30 a.m.
"He was shot in the head. For someone to call somebody out and shoot them in the head that’s preposterous," Cope said.
Neighbor Andre Osborne said the family needs justice.
“They need to turn the person in who did this and get this killer off the street, and God bless the family who lost a little one,” Osborne said.
Authorities urge anyone with information on the case to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
