The reward for information leading to an arrest in the shooting of a U.S. postal worker has been doubled to $50,000, the Postal Inspection Service announced Thursday.
Letter carrier Bruce Parton was shot Monday afternoon as he made his rounds at an apartment complex on Northwest 4th Avenue and 165th Street in Biscayne Gardens.
Police said Parton, 60, was shot several times.
The suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall, long dreadlocks, 25-30 years old, who was wearing all black with a red jacket. He was last seen fleeing the area on foot.
