We've all heard the rumors and it looks like it might be coming true.
The Tri-county area may be in store for an official name change.
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Joe Martinez wants to extend "Miami-Wade County" week for another seven days, but it's more likely that there may be a more long-term change coming with all the hoopla around the Miami Heat's recent coup.
Miami-Dade turned into Miami-Wade from July 1-7, but why not keep the party rolling, permanently.
Same goes for Broward County, or should we say LeBroward County. King James has to have his own kingdom, doesn't he?
Chris Bosh won't be left out, either. Expect an announcement in the coming weeks of a petition drive for a name change from Palm Beach County to "Palm Bosh County."
“Miami has really been energized not only by Wade’s decision to stay, but also the addition of Chris Bosh and LeBron James to the HEAT’s roster,” Commissioner Martinez said in a written statement. “I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we are looking at a new sports dynasty in the making that will excite fans and also generate more business in the region.”

The name changes probably would have the backing of Gov. Charlie Crist, who is already trying to get a one-on-one meeting with LeBron James.
