Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines wants to keep man-hunting cougars off its ships, so much so that it's banning the younger man/older woman cruises.
A party planner who booked a San Diego to Mexico three night jaunt with 300 of the sexy singles has been kept from booking any more cruises with the company, London's Daily Mail reported last week.
Rich Gosse, with the Society of Single Professionals, said the cougars and their cubs behaved themselves while on the boat, and he can't believe Carnival is taking such a tough stance.
"We are grateful to Carnival for helping us with the world's first International Cougar Cruise. Their cruise staff were wonderful, and our cougars and cubs had a great experience," Gosse told the Daily Mail. "[It] was a tremendous success, we are doing it again, twice."
Indeed, Gosse is now turning to Royal Caribbean, who will host two cougar cruises this year, one leaving from Los Angeles in May and the other from Miami in December.
Carnival wouldn't say why they won't be bringing the cougars and cubs on board, telling the Miami Herald that "we simply made the business decision not to have future groups book on this theme."
