A woman picking up her son at a Debary school was arrested for drunk driving after she pulled into the building the wrong way, going against traffic, deputies said.
An officer was conducting routine traffic enforcement at Debary Elementary School when he saw 32-year-old Christina Stewart make a right turn from a straight-only lane into the school, said a Volusia County arrest report.
Stewart missed the entrance and went straight into the school's exit lane, going against traffic, the report said.
The deputy on duty stopped Stewart and asked her to back up so she would not be blocking traffic. It took her several minutes to back out and she hit the curb several times in the process, according to the report.
When she got out of the car, Stewart smelled like alcohol, so the deputy conducted field sobriety tests, which she failed, the report said.
The deputy then asked Stewart if she would take a Breathalyzer test, and she responded by saying, "No, f--- you," according to the report.
Stewart's boyfriend, who owns the car she was driving, went to pick up the son while Stewart was taken into custody, according to deputies.
